  • Description: Jack & Jill Children’s Center is looking for Teachers for their NAEYC accredited Early Education program that serves infants and children, ages 6-weeks through 5-years-old. Jack & Jill implements creative curriculum and uses continuity of care models with low students to teacher ratios to promote the highest quality of care. Ideal candidates help to provide a warm, nurturing safe, and loving environment while aiding in the evaluation of social and emotional childhood development, as well as physical well-being.
  • Required Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.; 45 DCF Child Care Hours; Minimum 60 credit hours in Early Childhood Education/ Elementary Education or a related field; Experience in a group care setting with unrelated children less than six-years-old; National CDA and/ or and Associate Degree in Early Education or a related field (preferred); A valid driver’s license to drive and operate school vans for off-site field trips (preferred); Level 2 Background Check/ Fingerprinting to be completed before start date
  • Required Experience: One or more years of experience

Training Requirement

Reporting Misconduct by Team Members
All Team Members have an obligation to report misconduct by fellow employees which affects the health, safety, or welfare of a child. Examples of misconduct include obscene language, drug and alcohol use, disparaging comments, prejudice or bigotry, sexual innuendo, cheating or testing violations, physical aggression, and accepting or offering favors.
Reports of misconduct of employees and instructional personnel should be made to either the Education Director, Human Resources office or the Chief Executive Officer.
Reports of misconduct committed by administrators should be made to either the Human Resources office or the Chief Executive Officer.
Legally sufficient allegations of misconduct by Florida certified educators will be reported to the Office of Professional Practices Services.
