Jack & Jill’s early childhood education program recognizes the importance of ongoing learning during this time. Teachers have scheduled online sessions to engage children and families. We have extended learning beyond the classroom in a variety of ways described below.

Infants and Toddlers

Children enrolled in the infant and toddler program participate in virtual sessions alongside their teachers in Jack & Jill’s infant/toddler classrooms. Staff schedules virtual story times three days each week. Children have the opportunity to interact with their classmates and see their teachers. Parents receive weekly newsletters of lesson plans and suggested activities to support their child’s growth and development.

Preschool and Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK)

Children enrolled in the preschool and VPK classrooms participate in virtual circle times, small group activities and show and tell sessions. Teachers use this time to read books, go on virtual field trips, and reinforce education concepts. Families receive weekly newsletters, learning activities, and suggested conversation starters.
