We are so thrilled to announce that Chris Hawk will carry on the Hawk legacy and represent Jack &Jill Center in 2022! Thank you Chris and Galleria Fort Lauderdale for this opportunity! The hottest event of the year, Men of Style, is on Thursday, December 1st from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Galleria Fort Lauderdale.

Chris Hawk grew up in Maryland as the oldest of three boys. He is an avid soccer player and swimmer, competing in both at the varsity level. He majored in Philosophy at Boston College with a concentration in pre-medical studies. During the summers he worked as an ocean lifeguard in New Jersey, competing as a swimmer and rower. He fell in love with south Florida where he studied medicine at the University of Miami. He completed residency training in New York and then fellowship training in Miami, and now works as an interventional cardiologist in Palm Beach county with a private group: the Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches. Outside of the hospital he can be found in the sand playing beach volleyball, or on a yoga mat getting stretchy.

Join the Friends of Jack & Jill Center as they host the 1st Annual Winter Carnival! The children and families of Jack & Jill Center and community members will enjoy a day of fun featuring rides, games, crafts, and food!Jack & Jill Center’s mission is to strengthen children and families through innovative education, supportive programming and community engagement. We hope to provide every child and family with the tools they need to reach their full potential. 

Carnival Tickets and Food Tickets will be available at the gate starting at Noon on February 5th. Carnival Tickets are $2/person (children 2 and under are free). Food tickets are $1 per item.

Join the Young Professionals Network of Jack & Jill Center on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 11:00 to 12:30PM at Legacy Fit FTL, 500 S Andrews Ave., Unit 120, Fort Lauderdale 33301. Members will get the full P.I.T experience. Legacy Fit’s patented Partner Interval Training system is made to push you and centered around accountability. Partnered throughout the workout, you’re held accountable to another person the entire workout. Combining antagonistic resistance training with HIIT cardio, you and your partner will push each other for the duration of the hour! Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in. Onsite parking garage. Parking is validated please bring your ticket with you. We encourage you to bring a face towel and water.

Voted the Best Nonprofit Fundraiser of 2021 by Fort Lauderdale Magazine—This casual soirée overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway features relaxed tropical beach décor, delicious drinks, an open bar, fabulous Bahamian inspired specialty food stations, a Junkanoo Band and live music and entertainment featuring the Marcia Mitchell Band, all on the docks at the Lauderdale Yacht Club. Guests have the chance to bid on over 100 luxurious items in a live and silent auction while enjoying the panoramic backdrop of Fort Lauderdale. On Saturday, April 15, 2023, the Young Professionals Network at Jack & Jill Center is holding their annual charity bowling tournament, Team Pouncey Bowl for Change, at Manor Lanes (1517 NE 26th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305). Individual registration is $30. Team registration (6 people) is $150. Registration includes 2 games, shoe rental, & 1 pitcher of beer per team. Enjoy bowling, a full bar, live DJ, raffle prizes, & an arcade! Sponsorship opportunities are also available! All proceeds benefit the children at Jack & Jill Center.

Who are the Young Professionals?

The Young Professionals Network (YPN) at Jack & Jill Center is a networking group of individuals ages 21-40 who are dedicated to serving their community. YPN provides community awareness, volunteer services, program assistance, and financial support for Jack & Jill’s children and families. YPN events include quarterly happy hours, volunteer activities at the Center, personal development events, opportunities to network with other Jack & Jill Center constituents, Trunk or-Treat, and more. Attended by over 250 business professionals in Broward County, this honor is bestowed to those who have gone above and beyond through their contributions and service to Jack & Jill Center.
