Madelaine Halmos Academy Summer Camp Wraps Up with Unforgettable Experiences August 7, 2024

As the summer draws to a close, the Madelaine Halmos Academy STEAM Summer Camp bids farewell to another spectacular season filled with fun, learning, and memorable experiences. We are proud to share that our camp has been recognized as one of the Best Kids Camps in Fort Lauderdale by the Best of Fort Lauderdale awards, and this summer truly showcased why.

Our campers embarked on numerous field trips that combined excitement with education. They explored the lush landscapes and friendly animals at Marando Farms, discovered the diverse wildlife at Flamingo Gardens and the Miami Zoo, delved into history and culture at the African American Library, splashed into fun at Paradise Cove, sparked their curiosity with Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS), and unleashed their creativity at the Young Art Museum. Each outing offered unique opportunities for our campers to learn and grow while having a blast.

In addition to these incredible trips, our partnership with Heal the Planet provided hands-on experiences that emphasized sustainability and environmental stewardship. Campers also participated in engaging nutrition classes throughout the summer, learning the importance of healthy eating habits in a fun and interactive way.

One of the highlights of our camp this year was the weekly swim lessons provided by Swim Central Water Safety. Every camper had the chance to develop their swimming skills and water safety knowledge, a crucial life skill that we are thrilled to offer. We are incredibly proud of this partnership and the confidence and competence it instilled in our young swimmers.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners who made these enriching experiences possible. Your support and collaboration have been invaluable. We also want to spotlight our dedicated summer camp team members. Their hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment to creating a magical and memorable summer for our campers did not go unnoticed.

Thank you for an unforgettable summer, and we look forward to more adventures next year. Until next summer!
