On Tuesday, December 1, the spirit of the holidays came alive in The Plaza on Las Olas at The Stiles Corporation 19th Annual Light Up Downtown presented by Joe & Michele Maiuro! Thanks to our generous sponsors, this event raised $95,000 for Jack & Jill Children’s Center, helping to break the cycle of poverty for children of low-income working families in South Florida through early childhood education and family intervention and support.

Due to COVID restrictions, this year’s Light Up Downtown was a special event for VIP Sponsors and special friends of Jack & Jill. Attendees enjoyed culinary delights by The Restaurant People with tastes from their famous South Florida venues Boatyard, Township, S3 – Sun Surf Sand, and Yolo. Guests also received sweet treats from Sweeter Days Bake Shop and Mini Donut World, accompanied by delicious coffee drinks by Chameleon Cold-Brew. Additionally, unlimited adult beverages were supplied thanks to our incredible beverage sponsors: Liquor Sponsor – Beam Suntory, our Wine Sponsor – Finca Ambrosía, and our Beer Sponsor – Stephens Distributing.

After words of gratitude by Friends Auxiliary Board President – Sally Beach, Jack & Jill Children’s Center CEO – Heather Siskind, and Stiles CEO – Ken Stiles, the event culminated with the lighting of a magnificent 30-foot tree! Jack & Jill Children’s Center had the distinct honor of having Mayor Dean Trantalis and Vice Mayor/Commissioner Steven Glassman flip the “Stiles Light-O-Matic” switch to light the tree. Senator Farmer was also in attendance.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made the tremendous success of The Stiles Corporation 19th Annual Light Up Downtown presented by Joe & Michele Maiuro possible. This event ensures the creation of brighter futures for Jack & Jill children, one young person at a time!
