Volunteer

Volunteer with Jack & Jill Center!

At Jack & Jill Center, we offer numerous opportunities for volunteers to provide hands-on support to our children and families. Explore this page to discover how you can get involved and support the community we serve.

ReadingPals

ReadingPals is an early literacy volunteer initiative that matches volunteer mentors (age 18+) from the community with Jack & Jill Center students in Pre-K through 3rd grade, to work on literacy skills throughout the school year.

Family Resource Room

Our Family Resource Room features a supply cabinet stocked with essential items. We accept contributions year-round.

Corporate Volunteers

We enthusiastically welcome Corporate Volunteer groups seeking to create a dynamic and fulfilling volunteering experience.

Special Events

We have special events throughout the year, like our Annual Winter Carnival, and we look to volunteers to assist. These are great volunteering opportunities for groups!

Organize a Supply Drive

We accept donations of various supplies throughout the year. Contact us to learn which items would be the most impactful and organize a Drive at your school or office!

Get Creative!

Share your talents with us! Lead an art project or a host a field day -- we will work with you to figure out the best way to match your skills with our needs. Let's get creative!

Ready to Volunteer?

We welcome individuals who wish to work with the children and families of Jack & Jill Center!

Volunteers are asked to complete the following requirements:

1. Complete and Submit Volunteer Application: Once this form is completed, our Community Relations Coordinator will reach out to you and schedule a meeting.

2. Meet with the Community Relations Coordinator: During your meeting with the Community Relations Coordinator, you will tour our campus and learn more about open volunteer opportunities. We want to know about your interests, expectations, and schedule. It's our goal to figure out the best fit for your skills and interests! After the meeting, you will be responsible for scheduling and completing the background screening.

3. Volunteer Background Screening: As a volunteer of Jack & Jill Center, you are required to complete a Level II DCF background screening. Our Community Relations Coordinator will provide you with more information about this step when the time comes.

4. Review Volunteer Handbook: Once you have received clearance on your background screening, the Community Relations Coordinator will review the Volunteer Handbook with you, have you sign it, and confirm your start date and schedule.

Please note that if you are only interested in participating in volunteering for special events, specify that on your volunteer application, and you will be added to the email list.
