The Madelaine Halmos Academy is a private elementary school, serving Kindergarten through 4th grade. Teachers, staff and volunteers work together to create a safe, academically sound and socially supportive environment for all learners. MHA’s unique program nurtures the whole child by combining academic, social-emotional, and wellness elements to ensure a highly-effective educational experience.

Program elements include:

  • Project-based, student-centered curriculum
  • Technology integrations
  • Health and wellness activities
  • Engaging extracurricular activities including: soccer, basketball, piano, ballet, computer science and art
  • STEAM education
  • On-site counseling and therapeutic services
  • Nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack daily
  • Educational field trips

MHA’s robust programming is supported by a deep network of volunteers from diverse business and service industries, who give their time and talent to facilitate real-world connections and learning for all students. Together MHA develops lifelong learners, launching them into bright, prosperous futures!

At the heart of MHA programming is a desire to see students thrive. The small class sizes, exceptional teachers and staff, and an innovative approach to education are the pillars of a competitive educational experience for our students.

The Madelaine Halmos Academy is temporarily located at the Salvation Army Community Center at 100 SW 9th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale.   Construction is now underway for the new school building which will be located on the same campus as Jack & Jill’s Early Education Center at 1315 West Broward Boulevard.  We expect the new building to open in January 2021.
